Ski slope and beginners slope.
Food and Beverage, congress facilities, retail-shop and offices.
This slope was build as a pilot-project in the end of 1995.
It is the first real indoor ski slope on the world using the concept of Snow Business Holland.
It is build on an existing sand-hill what was used as an artificial ski slope on PVC mats.
The slope is covered, the roof and sidewalls where insulated to create an environment inside to kept the temperature below 0gr. Celsius, so we could kept real snow in it .
The first snow was produced by POLAR – snow. It was a very good snow-quality, but also very complicated by the labour and very expensive.
Many experience and tryouts has given a new snow-production system . The snow is produced by normal clean water, sprayed by high-pressure nozzles at the ceiling and an inside temperature of minus 8Gr Celsius below 0. at night. The snow is direct placed at the sand and is not insulated, there is no floor cooling at all.
This production system is PATENTED by Nicky Broos and can be used by Snow Business Holland as the Agency.
Next year a new slope will be build next to the existing slope: SkiDome 2010
